Yang Ming Shipping Line Announces New Leadership Roles
Taiwanese shipping company Yang Ming has announced a significant management reshuffle, promoting Cliff Pai to president and appointing Feng-Ming Tsai as the new chairman.
Pai, who previously served as the chief strategy officer, has been with Yang Ming for 40 years. He succeeds Patrick Tu as president.
Feng-Ming Tsai, the new chairman, is a professor with a Ph.D. in transportation from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Tsai has made substantial contributions to transportation management, logistics management, and intelligent transportation systems, playing a key role in advancing maritime education in Taiwan.
“With Chairman Tsai’s broad academic background and innovative mindset, complemented by the comprehensive experience of newly appointed President Pai, Yang Ming is set to tackle emerging risks and enhance overall operational performance,” the company stated in a release.
Yang Ming is primarily known for its containership fleet, but it also operates some bulk carriers.
