Allure of the Seas Returns After $100M Renovation

Royal Caribbean International’s Allure of the Seas has reentered service following a $100 million overhaul carried out in Europe.
The 2010-built Oasis-class ship resumed passenger operations on April 11, 2025, now sailing a series of Western Mediterranean cruises for the summer season. Its deployment includes four- to seven-night itineraries with calls in Spain, Italy, and France.
The first sailing, a four-night voyage departing from Barcelona, featured stops in Marseille and Palma de Mallorca. Through the summer, Allure of the Seas will offer weekly cruises that include visits to La Spezia, Civitavecchia, Naples, Palma de Mallorca, Marseille, and Barcelona.
The ship is scheduled to conclude its European season in late October with a 14-night transatlantic repositioning cruise to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Once in the U.S., Allure of the Seas will operate from Port Everglades, offering six- and eight-night Caribbean itineraries for the 2025-26 winter season. Most of these sailings will include a stop at Royal Caribbean’s private Bahamian destination, Perfect Day at CocoCay.
Prior to resuming service, the 220,000-ton vessel underwent extensive enhancements at the Navantia shipyard in Cádiz, Spain, as part of Royal Caribbean’s Royal Advantage program. The refit introduced a variety of new onboard features aimed at elevating the guest experience.
Among the highlights is The Perfect Storm, a trio of water slides including the racing slides Cyclone and Typhoon, and the spiraling SuperCell champagne bowl. The ship also gained Royal Caribbean’s iconic Ultimate Abyss dry slide and several newly constructed suites located above the bridge.
Additional improvements include new dining venues, updated bars, a redesigned pool deck, and enhanced spaces for families and children. The revitalized Allure of the Seas now welcomes up to 5,552 guests with an even broader range of experiences on board.
