Vessel Reports Missile Splashes in Red Sea Near Yemen
A ship transiting the Red Sea, approximately 25 nautical miles off the coast of Al Mukha, Yemen, encountered missile splashes hitting the water nearby.
The incident took place on November 17 as the vessel was navigating through the Red Sea near Al-Mukha. According to the ship’s master, several explosions were observed in the waters close to the vessel.
The captain noted the first explosion at 14:35 UTC, followed by a second one roughly 30 minutes later at 15:03 UTC, and a final blast at 14:37 UTC.
Despite the multiple explosions, the vessel and its crew remain unharmed. The ship is continuing its voyage to its next scheduled port.
Details regarding the vessel’s identity and ownership have not been disclosed. Houthi rebels are suspected to be responsible for the attacks.
