TUI Cruises Welcomes Newest Ship, Mein Schiff Relax

TUI Cruises officially took delivery of its latest vessel, Mein Schiff Relax, on February 7, 2025, at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy.
The handover ceremony was attended by top executives from TUI Cruises and Fincantieri, including CEO Wybcke Meier and CFO Frank Kuhlmann, as well as Italian Minister Luca Ciriani. Meier described the occasion as a “special moment,” highlighting how Mein Schiff Relax introduces a new era of well-being at sea.
The ship features expanded wellness facilities, including a barrel sauna on Deck 19 and an exclusive cryotherapy chamber capable of reaching -110°C. Solo travelers can now choose from a variety of cabin options, while suite guests will have access to panoramic Freedom Suites spanning two decks.
For culinary enthusiasts, Mein Schiff Relax enhances the onboard dining experience with dishes curated by renowned chef Tim Raue at the Asian restaurant Fugu.
In terms of sustainability, Mein Schiff Relax is designed with dual-fuel engines that can operate on liquid gas, bio-LNG, and E-LNG, significantly reducing emissions.
Additionally, the ship is equipped with advanced waste treatment technology, converting organic waste into BioChar, a sustainable resource for agriculture.
