Curated by the owner’s family, the art selection aboard Explora I includes works by both renowned and emerging artists. Guests can explore limited edition prints in suites and corridors, three-dimensional paper wall reliefs, specially commissioned paintings in the restaurants, and sculptural masterpieces by Yves Dana in the lobby.

On deck five, guests will find Yinka Shonibare’s British Library collections, including Philanthropists (2021), Activists (2021), Actors (2020), Female Artists (2020), and Writers (2019).

Koray Savas, vice president of hotel operations at Explora Journeys, stated: “Art has always been one of the main focal points of the guest experience on board our ships. The carefully curated art selection features a blend of renowned and emerging artists, alongside master artisans, creating an immersive art experience for guests throughout their journey. From the suites to the restaurants, and from the public areas to the lounges and lobby, the artworks enhance every space, ensuring that each guest’s experience is enriched with beauty and inspiration.”

The Galleria d’Arte now includes a privately-owned collection of limited-edition prints from pop art legends Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. Expert art luminaries and hosts will be available to guide guests through these artworks, enriching the onboard art experience.
