Eastern Pacific Shipping, based in Singapore, has returned to China Merchants Jinling Shipyard with a deal to build 2 new dual-fuel car carriers.
The company currently has more than 70 newbuild projects on its books and has also signed for LNG-powered 199.9m long ships which will be able to transport 7,000+ units each, as well as being estimated to cut emissions by 30%.
Currently, no price has been revealed for the latest EPS contract. The contract should lift the Idan Ofer company’s firm orders for car carriers to 12.
The Nanjing shipyard has delivered 3 PCTCs to EPS already.
