CMA CGM is launching the Rate Restoration Initiative 4 (RRI04), which will affect shipments from North European and Mediterranean ports heading to the United States, Canada, and Mexico, including inland destinations reached through these ports.

Starting May 1, 2024, RRI04 will apply to both tariff and service contract rates for all applicable cargo.

The rate increases are set as follows:

- $200 per 20-foot container (both Dry and Reefer types)

- $400 per 40-foot, 40-foot High Cube, and 45-foot container (both Dry and Reefer types)

Out of Gauge containers are not subject to this rate increase.

The North European region affected by this initiative includes North France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Scandinavia, Poland, the Baltic countries, and selected ports in North Spain such as Bilbao and Gijon.

The Mediterranean coverage includes Malta, Italy, Spain (including Algeciras, Valencia, Barcelona, Sagunto), ports in the Adriatic region, North Africa, and Morocco, with Egypt being the exception.

Affected destinations encompass ports along the US East Coast, the US Gulf Coast, as well as ports in Canada and Mexico, plus all reachable inland destinations via these ports.
