Disney Cruise Line has made the decision to cancel an upcoming sailing aboard the Disney Wish due to the anticipated impact of Hurricane Milton.

In a statement sent to guests, the cruise, originally scheduled to depart from Port Canaveral on October 11, has been called off. “We have been monitoring Hurricane Milton and its projected path, which is expected to move through Central Florida later this week,” Disney Cruise Line explained.

The company added, “Due to the weather conditions most recently forecasted for Port Canaveral and Central Florida and the impact that it might have on port operations, we have made the difficult decision to cancel your sailing.”

The three-night cruise was set to visit Nassau and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. Guests affected by the cancellation will receive a full refund via their original payment method, and as a gesture of goodwill, Disney is also offering a 20 percent discount on a future cruise fare.

Currently, Port Canaveral is under "Yankee condition," signaling gale-force winds within 24 hours. Though the port remains open with limited operations, preparations are underway to close both waterside and shoreside activities.

Hurricane Milton, which formed in the Gulf of Mexico, is expected to make landfall in Florida on Wednesday. The storm has already prompted several cruise lines - including Celebrity Cruises, Carnival, Princess, Royal Caribbean, and Margaritaville at Sea - to adjust their itineraries. MSC Cruises, which has two ships in the region, is also closely monitoring the situation
