Wallenius Wilhelmsen, the leading operator of RoRo (Roll-on/Roll-off) vessels globally, has entered into a substantial multi-year agreement with a top-tier company in the premium car industry, with the contract's value exceeding $1 billion.

This three-year agreement encompasses a range of services including shipping, logistics, and the utilization of biofuel.

The contract's initiation phase spans from January to April 2024, featuring rates that reflect the current market conditions. Additionally, there's an option for both parties to extend the contract for another two years.

“We see manufacturers shifting priorities and increasingly looking for solutions which provide predictability in their supply chains. In this case, it means longer-term contracts encompassing both logistics and shipping services. This goes hand in hand with Wallenius Wilhelmsen’s goal of being a total solution provider in finished vehicle logistics. This multi-year contract allows for better long-term planning and extended predictability both for the customer and us,” stated Lasse Kristoffersen, President, and CEO of Wallenius Wilhelmsen.

“Environmentally conscious customers recognize the urgency when it comes to decarbonizing global supply chains. Using biofuel is a strategic decision for this customer,” Pia Synnerman, Chief Customer Officer at Wallenius Wilhelmsen, remarked.
