SeaDream Yacht Club has announced that guests can now pay for their sailings using Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and over 200 other cryptocurrencies. This move marks a significant step forward in luxury travel, as noted in a company update.

The announcement was made during the opening day of WAGMI Miami, an annual cryptocurrency and blockchain conference.

“SeaDream has always been an innovator, setting new standards in luxury travel. By accepting cryptocurrency, we are embracing a payment solution that is increasingly sought after by our guests,” said Andreas Brynestad of SeaDream Yacht Club.

To enable secure and efficient cryptocurrency transactions, SeaDream has partnered with Coinbase Commerce.

Moe Levin, founder of WAGMI Events, highlighted the significance of the collaboration: “The strength in our community rests in the ability to foster groundbreaking partnerships. Working with a trailblazer like SeaDream Yacht Club brings together two true pioneers paving the way for others to follow.”

SeaDream is not only integrating cryptocurrency payments on its website, SeaDream.com, but it will also be the first cruise line to allow cryptocurrency payments for full-yacht charters. The digital payment option is expected to go live in the coming weeks.

“This underscores our commitment to staying ahead of emerging trends. For us, crypto is the natural next step forward,” Brynestad added.

He further emphasized the benefits for guests, saying, “The ability to use cryptocurrency further adds to the convenience and flexibility of our discerning charter guests, eliminating currency exchange challenges and enabling seamless transactions.”

By becoming the first major travel company and cruise line to accept cryptocurrency, SeaDream is setting a new standard in travel and payment solutions.
