Norwegian Cruise Line has canceled one of Norwegian Bliss’ scheduled cruises to Alaska, originally planned for April 2, 2025.

In a statement sent to booked passengers, the cruise line confirmed that the sailing has been canceled due to a fleet redeployment, which will result in the ship operating a different itinerary during that time.

Norwegian Cruise Line also announced that bookings for the newly planned sailing will open on September 16, 2024.

“We apologize for the inconvenience, as we appreciate that you have chosen to spend your vacation with us,” the company said.

The canceled cruise was a ten-night voyage to Alaska and Canada, departing roundtrip from Seattle. The itinerary featured stops in Ketchikan, Sitka, Icy Strait Point, Skagway, Juneau, and Victoria, as well as scenic cruising through Glacier Bay National Park.

Norwegian assured affected guests that they would automatically receive a full refund for their booking. For those who paid using a Future Cruise Credit (FCC), the credit will be re-applied to their Latitudes accounts.

To compensate for the disruption, Norwegian is offering a 10% discount in the form of an FCC, which can be used on any available sailing through December 31, 2025.

Other cruises scheduled for Norwegian Bliss during the summer season in Alaska remain unaffected. The ship will continue offering seven-night voyages in the region between April 12 and October 11, 2025.

In addition to Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Cruise Line’s summer Alaska season will feature the Norwegian Encore, Norwegian Joy, and Norwegian Jade, operating seven- to ten-night itineraries from three different homeports.
