On October 6, a merchant vessel docked at Yuzhny Port in the Odessa region was struck by a Russian ballistic missile. Infrared footage of the incident, recorded by a UAV, has been released by Russian state media.

The ship was hit by an Iskander-M short-range ballistic missile while moored at the port. The vessel’s name has not been disclosed. According to reports from the Russian Ministry of Defense, the ship was allegedly transporting military aid from European countries to Ukraine. The missile is said to have hit the vessel during the unloading of ammunition, causing a secondary explosion.

This incident marks the third attack on a merchant vessel by Russia within a month, raising significant concerns about the safety of ships involved in maritime trade in the region as tensions continue to escalate.
