Hapag-Lloyd Sets Rate Hike for South America to North America

Hapag-Lloyd, the German shipping company, has announced a General Rate Increase (GRI) for routes from the East Coast of South America to North and Central America, as well as the Caribbean.

The rate adjustment will take effect from December 10 and will remain in place until further notice.

The GRI of $1,000 per container applies to shipments originating from Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay, destined for the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.
