The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) and the Tourism Commission have announced that 17 international cruise ships will visit Hong Kong throughout March.

According to a recent press release, the city welcomed the Celebrity Millennium, Costa Serena, Silver Whisper, and Seabourn Encore between March 8 and 9. These ships docked at the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal and Ocean Terminal 1 in Tsim Sha Tsui.

HKTB reported that these cruise calls brought approximately 5,400 visitors from 31 different countries and regions.

Passengers were given the opportunity to explore Hong Kong through various shore excursions, which included a walking tour of Kowloon City.

Among the key attractions featured were the Kai Tak Sports Park and the “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In” Exhibition, hosted by HKTB at the AIRSIDE shopping mall. Visitors also had the chance to learn about the history of Walled City, sample Hong Kong-style egg tarts, and tour the Chi Lin Nunnery.

More major cruise ships are expected to make their first-ever visits to Hong Kong next week. On March 18-19, the Queen Anne and Norwegian Sky will call at the port for the first time. Additionally, the Queen Elizabeth is set to return.

The Queen Anne’s World Cruise gala dinner will be held in Hong Kong, with over 1,000 travelers expected to attend.

HKTB emphasized its commitment to collaborating with both mainland and international cruise operators to attract more cruise ship visits and enhance the variety of onshore experiences for passengers.
