On April 26, a general cargo vessel, the Sun Brave, experienced a grounding incident while navigating the shallow waters near Nakato Island in the Kurushima Strait, Japan.
Subsequent reports indicated that the vessel was successfully refloated with the help of tugboats. After the incident, the Sun Brave was moved to the Imabari anchorage for a thorough inspection and to assess any potential damage caused by the grounding.
The Sun Brave, which sails under the Singapore flag, has a length of 127.67 meters and a breadth of 19.6 meters. The vessel had departed from Fukuyama port, Japan, on the same day as the incident.
