Ceuta Port Adopts Mass Flow Meters for Accurate Fuel Supply

The Port of Ceuta, Spain, has introduced internationally certified mass flow meters, becoming the first port in the Mediterranean to implement this technology. This move strengthens Ceuta’s standing in the marine fuel supply industry and enhances efficiency in bunker operations.
One of the primary advantages of mass flow meters is their precise fuel measurement, regardless of fluctuations in temperature, fuel type, or source. By automating the logging of fuel transfers, these meters improve operational efficiency while reinforcing the security and reliability of fuel deliveries.
The meters set to be used at the port comply with ISO 22192 standards, ensuring real-time, highly accurate measurements during fuel transactions. This increased transparency is expected to reduce disputes between suppliers and shipowners, fostering greater trust in the bunker supply chain.
