Carnival Cruise Line’s Splendor has begun a repositioning cruise to Singapore in preparation for an upcoming drydock stay.

The 15-night voyage departed from Sydney and includes stops in Australia and Southeast Asia, with the final destination being Singapore on August 5, 2024. Specifically, the itinerary features visits to ports such as Bali and Lombok in Indonesia, and Airlie Beach in Queensland, Australia.

Once the cruise concludes, the Carnival Splendor will undergo routine maintenance, class work, and technical upgrades during its drydock period in Singapore. According to a social media update from Carnival Cruise Line Australia, the 2008-built ship will also be refreshed with new dining options, updated amenities, and renovated spaces.

Additionally, the Carnival Splendor is expected to receive the company's new livery, featuring a navy-blue hull with red and white accents—a design first introduced by the Mardi Gras in 2021 and gradually being applied across the entire Carnival fleet.

After completing the 19-day shipyard stay, the vessel will resume service on August 24, 2024.

The Splendor will depart from Singapore on August 24 for an open-jaw cruise to Sydney, offering a 16-night itinerary that includes six ports of call, with highlights including Jakarta, Darwin, and Moreton Island.

In 2025, the Carnival Splendor will be joined in Australia by the Carnival Encounter and Carnival Adventure, further expanding Carnival Cruise Line’s presence in the South Pacific.

Currently, the Splendor operates year-round sailings from Sydney, offering itineraries ranging from three to 11 nights to various regional destinations. Completing Carnival Cruise Line’s offerings in the South Pacific, the Carnival Luminosa also sails from Australia on a seasonal basis.
