Carnival Spirit Returns to Service After Drydock with Upgrades

The Carnival Spirit is back in service after completing its drydock, featuring several enhancements, including the addition of the Heroes Tribute Bar, a space dedicated to active-duty military members and veterans.
Upgraded Amenities & New Features
As part of its refurbishment, the Carnival Spirit received updates to several onboard facilities. Enhancements include:
- Cloud 9 Spa and Fitness Center renovations.
- Updated retail spaces, including a Carnival Adventures Shop and a Dreams Studio.
- A new dedicated space for Chef’s Table dining experiences.
- A redesigned mini golf course for guest entertainment.
- A refreshed casino with a new layout, updated décor, and additional gaming machines.
- A revamped nightclub and upgraded youth program spaces.
"The new Heroes Tribute Bar and all the other upgrades to Carnival Spirit are part of our ongoing effort to continually enhance our existing fleet with features we know our guests appreciate and enjoy," said Lisa McCabe, Carnival’s vice president of refurbishments.
Current & Upcoming Itineraries
The Carnival Spirit is currently sailing two back-to-back repositioning cruises before kicking off its Alaska summer season.
Transatlantic & Panama Canal Voyages
- The ship is on a 14-day transatlantic cruise from Barcelona, making stops in Malaga and Cadiz (Spain), Ponta Delgada (Portugal), and Bermuda before reaching Miami on March 30.
- It will then embark on a 15-day Panama Canal voyage from Miami to Seattle, with calls in Cartagena (Colombia), Puntarenas (Costa Rica), and Cabo San Lucas (Mexico).
Alaska Season & Future Cruises
- Beginning April 14, the ship will sail week-long Alaska cruises, visiting:
- In September, the vessel will operate a 15-day roundtrip cruise to Hawaii from Seattle.
- In October, it will sail a one-way voyage to New Orleans, before eventually repositioning to Mobile, Alabama.
With its fresh upgrades and diverse itineraries, the Carnival Spirit is set to offer an elevated cruise experience as it sails across multiple destinations in the coming months.
