Carnival Panorama Returns to Long Beach After Dry Dock Upgrade
The Carnival Panorama is en route back to Long Beach to resume its regular West Coast sailings.
Following a refurbishment at Singapore’s Tuas Shipyard, the Carnival Cruise Line ship began its repositioning journey to North America on October 12, 2024. Departing from Singapore’s Marina Bay Cruise Terminal, the trans-Pacific voyage includes stops in Asia and Hawaii, with an expected arrival in California in November.
During the 25-night trip, the Panorama will visit multiple ports, such as Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia, and Manila in the Philippines. One of the voyage’s highlights is a stop in Guam, a unique destination for cruise ships traveling through the Mariana Islands.
The ship, built in 2019, will also make an overnight stop in Honolulu before arriving back at its homeport on November 5, 2024.
Upon its return to Long Beach, the Vista-class vessel will restart its regular itinerary, offering five- to eight-night cruises to the Mexican Riviera and the Sea of Cortez. Sailing from Carnival’s private terminal in Long Beach, the ship will visit popular destinations like Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, La Paz, Mazatlán, and Ensenada.
During its recent dry dock, the Carnival Panorama underwent routine maintenance and received upgrades to its public spaces and cabins. According to Carnival, the renovation included a new non-smoking casino, additional retail shops, and a Dreams Studio where passengers can book professional photo sessions.
The ship also features a new mini golf course and Carnival’s updated hull livery, showcasing the iconic red, white, and blue design.
The Carnival Panorama is the last ship in the cruise line’s 27-vessel fleet to receive the updated livery, a look first introduced with the launch of the Mardi Gras and gradually implemented across the fleet over the past three years.
