The cruise ship World Explorer made its debut visit to the Port of Montréal on September 8, 2024.
To mark the occasion, a ceremonial exchange of plaques took place between Jean-François Belzile of the Montréal Port Authority and Captain Dmytro Ashanin.
The World Explorer, which has a capacity for 200 passengers, set sail from the port the next day.
Currently, the ship is sailing as part of Rivages du Monde’s 2024 cruise itinerary along the St. Lawrence River. After the season ends in October, the World Explorer will begin its winter voyages in Antarctica for Quark Expeditions.
