Virgin Voyages Starts 2025 with Record Revenue and Bookings
Virgin Voyages has announced its most successful start to a year yet, reporting unprecedented revenue and booking numbers as it heads into 2025.
Following a strong Black Friday and holiday sales period, the company has seen a 60% increase in revenue compared to the previous year, along with a 40% surge in new bookings.
According to the company, inventory for the first quarter is nearly fully booked, with limited availability in the second quarter. Demand is also soaring for Mediterranean sailings in summer 2025.
Additionally, bookings for the highly anticipated Brilliant Lady, launching in fall 2025, have exceeded projections. The ship will sail from multiple locations, including New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and Seattle, with routes to Alaska among the highlights.
“Thanks to our First Mates who have championed our growth based on their clients’ feedback, and to our loyal Sailors who are delivering record repeat rates, last year was a brilliant one and delivered massive growth from new customers, along with existing cruisers and those new to cruise. Our strongest start ever is a testament to our award-winning service and experience, our no nickel and diming value inclusions, the launch of additional destinations with longer itineraries from 8-14 nights and more than 30 new ports coming online from Alaska and Iceland to Turkey and Portugal. I also can’t forget about the bucket list Panama Canal voyage,” said Nirmal Saverimuttu, CEO of Virgin Voyages.
Saverimuttu further commented: “2025 is looking like a red-letter year with new food concepts, new music, more comedy-based entertainment, a new ship that completes our fleet, the return of Eat & Drink month and special sailings such as our Celebration Voyages and Marvelous Voyages. Every innovation and evolution is based on the feedback from our travel advisors and customers.”
The company is celebrating its most successful January and wave season to date while preparing to introduce its fourth ship, the Brilliant Lady, in September, sailing from New York City. With all four vessels in operation, Virgin Voyages will have homeports in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Seattle, Barcelona, Athens, and Portsmouth.
