CMA CGM has made an investment in Pasqal, a French quantum computing company, to develop optimization solutions for the maritime and logistics sectors. The specific amount of the investment has not been disclosed.

This strategic alliance will result in the establishment of a Quantum Center of Excellence at TANGRAM, CMA CGM’s training facility in Marseille, which will have access to Pasqal’s quantum processor.

CMA CGM aims to use this partnership to improve container management, particularly their loading onto ships.

This investment in Pasqal comes after CMA CGM's previous investments in technology firms and artificial intelligence projects, such as Kyutai and Mistral AI.
