PGS, a seismic company listed on the Oslo stock exchange, has recently received a 3D project in the Mediterranean from an undisclosed energy company.

The survey is slated to kick off in early March, employing the Ramform Hyperion vessel for a project with an estimated duration of around 30 days.

This specific project was not part of the $336 million order backlog for the fourth quarter of 2023. Nevertheless, it has been incorporated into the recorded position as of mid-February.

“We are very pleased with this acquisition project award, extending the Ramform Hyperion’s campaign in the Mediterranean until the end of March. After completing this project, the vessel will steam to the Norwegian continental shelf and commence pre-funded multi-client projects,” Rune Olav Pedersen, president and CEO at PGS conveyed the following statement:

PGS secured its second contract in February, with the first one involving a two-month survey of an offshore wind site in Europe.
