Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) has entered into a long-term charter agreement for a newly constructed LNG carrier with Tokyo LNG Tanker (TLT), a fully owned subsidiary of Tokyo Gas.
This marks the eighth agreement of its kind, succeeding a time charter agreement for seven LNG carriers previously established with TLT.
The vessel, which will have a capacity of 174,000 cubic meters, is to be constructed at Hanwha Ocean in South Korea, with delivery anticipated in 2026. The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
