Norwegian Cruise Line has announced significant updates to its 2025 Asian itineraries for the Norwegian Spirit. These changes include major adjustments to the ship’s 11-night cruise scheduled for July 16, 2025.

Initially planned to begin in Taiwan, the original itinerary was set to depart from Keelung and visit Kaohsiung, Hualien, and Hong Kong before heading to Japan with stops in Miyako-Jima, Naha, Kobe, and Shimizu. The open-jaw itinerary included two sea days and ended with an overnight stay in Tokyo.

In the revised itinerary, only the overnight call in Tokyo and the visit to Shimizu, a gateway to Mount Fuji, remain unchanged. The cruise now begins in Incheon, South Korea, and skips Taiwan and China entirely.

Instead, the updated route includes Jeju in South Korea before proceeding to Japan for a series of new destinations. The revamped schedule offers no sea days and features visits to Nagasaki, Kagoshima, Hiroshima, Kochi, Himeji, Osaka, Nagoya, and Shimizu before concluding in Tokyo.

Norwegian Cruise Line has also made earlier adjustments to other Norwegian Spirit sailings in the region. One example is the December 10, 2024, 12-night cruise that was initially set to depart from Manila. The itinerary now begins with an overnight stay in Hong Kong and includes an additional stop in Taichung, Taiwan, which replaces the originally planned call in Hualien.

The revised route sails to the Philippines, Taiwan, and Japan, stopping in Coron, Puerto Princesa, Boracay, Kaohsiung, Taichung, Miyako-Jima, Naha, and Ishigaki before concluding in Keelung, Taiwan.

These changes reflect Norwegian Cruise Line's continued efforts to refine and enhance its offerings in the Asian market, ensuring a dynamic and engaging experience for guests.
