Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has announced the expansion of its Military Appreciation Program to now include active service members, veterans, and their dependents from the Canadian Army, Royal Canadian Navy, Royal Canadian Air Force, and Canadian Coast Guard, according to a recent press release.

Effective immediately, eligible members of the Canadian armed forces will benefit from exclusive onboard experiences, special amenities, and a 10 percent discount on cruise fares across all NCL sailings.

David J. Herrera, President of Norwegian Cruise Line, expressed the company's dedication to supporting military communities, stating, “The NCL family is committed to supporting the military community, and it is an honor to expand the benefits of our Military Appreciation Program to our allies in Canada. It is a privilege to welcome men and women who have bravely served their countries, along with their families, onboard our ships.”

Derek Lloyd, NCL's Canada-based Vice President of Sales for North America, highlighted the company's commitment to fostering a supportive environment for military personnel, saying, “The expansion of our Military Appreciation Program is a testament to our organization’s passion for supporting and giving back to military service members. Fostering a sense of community and providing military members with a welcoming environment to relax with family and friends is an honor for Norwegian Cruise Line.”

Originally launched in November 2022, Norwegian Cruise Line’s Military Appreciation Program offers a 10 percent discount on cruise fares for active U.S. service members, veterans, retired military, and their spouses. Additionally, military guests are treated to special onboard amenities and experiences, including a welcome reception and packet.

To streamline the booking process, service members can verify their eligibility through ID.me, a secure platform that allows for one-time verification for both U.S. and Canadian armed forces members.
