New West Asian Regional HQ Opened by ONE in Dubai
Ocean Network Express (ONE), the world's sixth-largest container shipping company, has inaugurated its West Asia regional headquarters in Dubai, UAE.
The company announced, "This strategic move aims to accelerate ONE's growth and expand its presence in the rapidly developing markets of the Indian Subcontinent, Middle East, and East Africa."
Operating as the central hub for the Indian Subcontinent, Middle East, and East Africa, the West Asia Regional Headquarters will oversee commercial operations, customer service, and digital initiatives.
The office will also host a dedicated team responsible for cultivating regional trade relationships and identifying new business ventures within these areas.
Jeremy Nixon, CEO of ONE, expressed, “The Middle East, Indian subcontinent and East Africa regions have become increasingly key growth markets for ONE, for both our inter-regional and deep sea network customers. It is therefore appropriate that ONE now moves the regional oversight of this region from Singapore to Dubai, by setting up a new RHQ office closer to these key markets.”
Sundeep Sibal has been named the Regional Director of the West Asia Regional Headquarters, assuming the role on April 1.
Sibal stated, “I am deeply honored to be entrusted with leading ONE’s efforts in this dynamic and growing region. In 2024, we are expecting the deployment of several new services, including the West India North America (WIN) service, Indian Ocean Mediterranean (IOM) service and an expanded Intra Asia loop network. Together with our passionate team at our new regional office, we will be closer to our valued customers, understand their unique requirements and respond by more customized services.”
Having joined ONE in 2018 as Head of Transpacific and Transatlantic Trades, Sibal, now serving as Head of Global Commercial & Service Management, has been pivotal in revamping the company’s Global Sales & Service strategy. His previous roles include managing MOL’s regional operations in the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, and Southeast Asia.
