Mexico Hunts Missing Cruise Passenger in Cozumel

Mexican authorities are on the lookout for a missing cruise passenger in Cozumel. Local reports indicate that 30-year-old U.S. citizen Tynisha Williams disembarked from the Royal Caribbean cruise ship Radiance of the Seas to explore the island, but she did not return before the ship departed on February 17.
Eight days after her disappearance, the Harbor Master's Office issued a Nautical Notice, alerting the maritime community to her case. Although the shipping agency officially reported her missing on February 17, the notice was not publicly circulated until eight days later.
Signed by Captain of the Ship CG.DEM Víctor Manuel Lozano Jerezano, the notice urges anyone with information on Tynisha’s whereabouts to come forward.
Authorities have not confirmed whether Tynisha was traveling alone, with a companion, or as part of a guided tour. Additionally, no further details or photographs have been released to assist in her identification.
This marks the second disappearance of a tourist in Cozumel in recent years. In 2024, a cruise passenger vanished on the island, leaving his family searching for two months without success. These incidents are increasingly raising concerns among both locals and visitors.
