French shipping giant CMA CGM has unveiled its new Maya Service, a weekly shipping route tailored to serve the West Coast of Central America.

The service will follow a regular port rotation, including Lazaro Cardenas (Mexico), Puerto Caldera (Costa Rica), Corinto (Nicaragua), Acajutla (El Salvador), Puerto Quetzal (Guatemala), and returning to Lazaro Cardenas.

CMA CGM plans to operate the service using two vessels, the CMA CGM Surabaya and the Magdalena Schulte, with the first departure scheduled for January 2.

Additionally, the carrier has announced that starting April 10, 2025, the service will extend to include Buenaventura, Colombia, further enhancing its regional coverage.
