Ambassador Cruise Line Unveils New Gin, Products & Events

Ambassador Cruise Line has announced two new guest offerings designed to elevate the holiday experience, along with a special onboard event featuring meteorologist and TV presenter Laura Tobin, according to a company press release.

The new products include a limited-edition gin and personalized cruise maps that trace the unique route of each sailing.

Through a collaboration with Summerhill Distillery, the cruise line will offer its own signature gin, which will be available on the Ambience and Ambition ships starting in December. Crafted using more than 16 botanicals — including juniper, cloves, and blood orange — the gin emphasizes Scottish craftsmanship and local flavors. With only 225 bottles available on each ship, the 70cl bottles are priced at £29.95 and can be purchased at the reception desk on board.

In addition, Ambassador has partnered with The Cruise Maps to give guests access to personalized maps that showcase the route of their voyage. Created using AIS satellite tracking, these custom maps display the ship’s exact journey. Guests can choose from digital, satellite, or branded Ambassador Cruise Line versions, with prices starting at £30.

As part of its new offerings, Ambassador is also inviting guests to sail with meteorologist Laura Tobin on a special 14-night cruise titled “Norway’s Land of the Northern Lights.” Departing from London on February 23, 2025, the voyage will feature two “In Conversation With…” sessions where Tobin will discuss her career, participate in a Q&A, and host a meet-and-greet. Guests will also have the opportunity to learn about the science behind the Northern Lights as they explore Norway’s fjords and coastal towns.

Pricing for this unique voyage ranges from £799 to £1,189 per person, based on double occupancy and the package selected.
