World Champion Pizza Chef Teams Up with Princess Cruises

Princess Cruises has announced a culinary partnership with 13-time World Pizza Champion Chef Tony Gemignani, according to a press release.

Chef Gemignani has crafted five exclusive pizzas for Princess, each boasting a unique blend of flavors and ingredients, ranging from Soppressata sausage and hot honey to Gorgonzola and sweet fig preserve. These specially designed pizzas will make their debut at Alfredo’s onboard the new Sun Princess, with plans to roll them out across the entire fleet by summer.

To ensure authenticity, Princess chefs received specialized training at Chef Gemignani’s Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco, enabling them to faithfully recreate his original pizzas at sea.

“Princess is about delivering great experiences, and there is no more important element than Pizza. While Princess has long been known for having the best pizza at sea, we decided to take it up an entirely new level with legendary Tony Gemignani,” stated John Padgett, Princess Cruises president.

“Tony is the ‘GOAT’ with unparalleled world championships, expertise, and passion for crafting the perfect pizza.”

In celebration of this collaboration, Princess Cruises will attempt to set a Guinness World Record on July 12 for the Largest Pizza Party at multiple venues. The event will feature pizzas prepared by the line’s master chefs, including new offerings from Chef Gemignani.
