With the introduction of the new Star Princess, Princess Cruises is gearing up for its biggest Alaska season yet in 2026.

According to sources, this upcoming season will see an 18 percent increase in available berths compared to 2025. In total, eight Princess ships will be sailing in Alaska in 2026, led by the Star Princess, which debuts in 2025, and the Discovery Princess, launched in 2022.

The lineup will also feature a variety of vessels from different fleet classes, including the Royal Princess, Emerald Princess, Ruby Princess, Island Princess, Coral Princess, and Caribbean Princess.

Operating from six homeports, this fleet will bring over 24,600 berths to the Alaska region in 2026, according to Cruise Industry News.

In comparison, seven Princess ships will be in Alaska for the 2025 season: the Discovery Princess, Royal Princess, Ruby Princess, Caribbean Princess, Sapphire Princess, Coral Princess, and Grand Princess. Together, these ships will offer approximately 20,600 berths.

This figure marks a decrease from 2024, despite the same number of ships, due to a larger average fleet size in that year, resulting in more berths in the region.

Comparing 2024 to 2026, Princess Cruises' presence in Alaska will grow by nearly ten percent, with an increase of about 2,000 berths.
