Cleanup operations for ships and quay walls at Deurganckdok in the Port of Antwerp-Bruges have been completed following a recent oil spill.
The port authority reported that all vessels involved in and contaminated by the incident have departed from Deurganckdok.
"The quay walls are fully available again and there is no longer a selective ban on navigation in the Deurganckdok," stated the Port of Antwerp-Bruges in their latest update.
The oil spill occurred on June 7 during a bunker operation and was discovered in the Deurganck dock later that afternoon. In response, the Belgian port authority temporarily closed Deurganckdok.
