On September 16th, a ship-to-shore crane collapsed, falling onto a containership in a marine incident at Yantian Port, China.
The large crane crashed onto the vessel MSC Riona, which was docked at the port. As a result, operations at berth-2 were suspended. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident. According to local sources, several containers from the ship fell into the water during the collapse.
MSC Riona, a Liberian-flagged ship, operates within intra-Asia routes. It departed from Chiwan, China, on September 15th, before the incident occurred at Yantian.
