Two unexpected passengers have been drawing attention aboard Allure of the Seas during its transatlantic journey from Miami to Europe. A pair of owls have made themselves at home in the ship’s Central Park, enjoying an unplanned voyage across the Atlantic.

The birds are believed to have boarded in Miami on February 10, 2025. Since then, Allure of the Seas has remained at sea with no port stops, making the ship a temporary refuge for the feathered stowaways. The owls have been seen comfortably perched among the park’s trees, seemingly unfazed by their unusual surroundings.

Passengers were quick to share their excitement on social media, with one traveler posting:

"Just spent ages in the Central Park area of the RCCL Allure of the Seas staring at this owl thinking how realistic it looks, but obviously, it can’t be an actual, real, live owl. Turns out it actually is the real thing, and it’s getting an unplanned free cruise from Miami to Palma. It’s become quite the tourist attraction!"

According to ship officers, this isn’t the first time an owl has hitched a ride. The captain recalled a similar incident during the inaugural transatlantic voyage of Oasis of the Seas, when another owl found its way onto the ship. However, due to strict agricultural and wildlife regulations, handling unexpected animal guests requires careful planning.

After consulting with wildlife specialists, the crew implemented a plan to ensure the birds’ safety and well-being. The captain later announced that the owls had been safely collected and placed in temporary enclosures to protect them for the remainder of the journey.
