Norwegian Cruise Line announced today that Norwegian Encore will receive significant updates designed to elevate onboard guest experiences. These enhancements include a new Spice H2O area, expanded dining venues at Cagney’s Steakhouse and Teppanyaki, redesigned suites in The Haven by Norwegian, and 24 additional balcony staterooms.

After Norwegian Encore’s two-week drydock from November 18, 2024, to December 2, 2024, guests can enjoy the new Spice H2O, an adults-only outdoor area located away from the main pool deck. Norwegian revealed that this new space will replace the current laser tag arena.

Spice H2O will feature several hot tubs, eight large day beds surrounded by cooling pools, and a spacious bar offering a variety of cocktails. This area will serve as a serene outdoor retreat for guests aged 18 and older seeking relaxation.

The upgrades will also include the expansion of two of Norwegian’s most popular specialty dining venues, meeting the demand for more dining options. Cagney’s Steakhouse and Teppanyaki will increase their capacities by taking over the spaces previously occupied by Los Lobos on deck eight and Coco’s on deck six. Additionally, Ocean Blue will be transformed into the guest-favorite Palomar, offering an elevated Mediterranean seafood dining experience.

“Our guests’ wants and needs are at the forefront of every decision that we make, and enhancing Norwegian Encore with more of the experiences they value showcases our commitment to just that,” stated David J. Herrera, President of Norwegian Cruise Line. “From more space for adults to relax, to more opportunities to enjoy their favorite dining options and beyond, we are dedicated to providing our guests with an elevated onboard experience as part of their dream vacation.”

The Premier Owner’s Suites with a Large Balcony in The Haven by Norwegian will be expanded from two bedrooms to three. These suites will also feature three and a half bathrooms, a fully renovated living room, master bedroom and outdoor balcony furniture, and a new separate dining room.

Following the model of the recent refurbishment on Norwegian Joy, Norwegian Encore will return from dry dock with 24 new balcony staterooms and two additional club balcony staterooms, achieved by repurposing part of the ship’s Observation Lounge.

Once the two-week drydock is complete, Norwegian Encore will set sail on a 12-day transatlantic journey from Southampton, U.K., to Miami. Subsequently, it will offer seven-day round-trip Caribbean cruises through March 2025, with stops at Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and Norwegian’s private island in the Bahamas, Great Stirrup Cay.
