An MSC vessel recently became the first ship to dock at Baltimore Port's Seagirt Container Terminal since the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge on March 26.
According to a report by Alphaliner, the MSC Passion III, with a capacity of 2,797 TEU and currently serving the Swiss operator’s Philadelphia Express route, made an unplanned stop at Seagirt.
This service connects Philadelphia with several ports including Freeport in the Bahamas, Moin, Colon, and Cristobal. The vessel’s detour to Baltimore was to pick up containers that had been left stranded following the bridge collapse.
Tracking data indicates that the MSC Passion III arrived in Baltimore on April 27 and departed two days later on April 29.
