After completing its winter season in Northern Europe, the MSC Preziosa has arrived at Damen Shiprepair in Rotterdam for scheduled drydock maintenance and upgrades.

The MSC Cruises ship is set to undergo a two-week refurbishment that includes both routine technical work and interior enhancements, in preparation for welcoming passengers back in mid-April.

As reported by local sources, the 2013-built vessel will see upgrades such as new flooring, carpets, and upholstery throughout its public spaces and cabins.

In addition to these refurbishments, the ship is also receiving standard technical servicing, which includes cleaning marine growth from the hull and conducting inspections on critical components like thrusters, propellers, and stabilizers to ensure compliance with classification standards.

Once drydock operations are completed, the 3,500-guest ship will resume service on April 13, 2025, departing from Hamburg for a weeklong Western Europe itinerary. Ports of call include Rotterdam, Zeebrugge, Le Havre, and Southampton.

Following this sailing, the Preziosa begins its summer program out of Hamburg, featuring 10- and 11-night cruises to the British Isles, Iceland, and destinations across Scandinavia.

The ship’s summer season will also feature two special 14-night voyages to Norway’s Svalbard archipelago in June and August.

In October, the MSC Preziosa will depart Europe on a transatlantic voyage, repositioning for its 2025-26 winter season in South America.

Meanwhile, the MSC Divina is also set to enter drydock soon. After wrapping up its North American winter season in early April, the 2012-built ship will sail to Europe without guests and head to Valletta, Malta, for scheduled maintenance before beginning its summer deployment in the Mediterranean.
