Mein Schiff 7 Begins Maiden Winter Season in the Canaries
The newly launched Mein Schiff 7 recently docked in Las Palmas, marking the start of its maiden season in the Canary Islands and the Atlantic. Scheduled to operate in the region for the 2024-2025 winter season, the ship arrived at its homeport on October 27, 2024.
This season, the Mein Schiff 7 is offering a series of seven-night cruises around the Spanish archipelago, visiting destinations like Cape Verde, Morocco, and Madeira. For its first voyage in the area, the ship is stopping at Santa Cruz de la Palma, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Puerto del Rosario, and Funchal, where it will remain docked for nearly two days.
Additional stops during the season include La Gomera and Arrecife in the Canaries, as well as Agadir in Morocco. The 2,900-passenger vessel will also offer seven-night cruises to Cape Verde, sailing roundtrip from Las Palmas with stops in Mindelo and Praia.
The ship’s winter season in the region runs through late April and concludes with a repositioning cruise to Northern Europe. Departing from Las Palmas to Hamburg, the ten-night journey includes stops in Atlantic and Western European ports, such as Lisbon, Portugal, and La Coruña, Spain.
During the summer of 2025, Mein Schiff 7 will offer a variety of cruises from Hamburg and Warnemünde, ranging from three to 17 nights and covering destinations in Northern Europe, including the Baltic, Scandinavia, Iceland, and Svalbard.
Following a Mediterranean debut in fall, the ship will return to the Canary Islands for another winter season in November 2025. Part of a series launched with Mein Schiff 3 in 2014, Mein Schiff 7 was constructed at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland.
