Majestic Princess Returns to Europe After Eight-Year Absence

Originally built in Italy by the Fincantieri shipyard, the Majestic Princess has made its way back to Europe this month after spending eight years sailing in other parts of the world.
The Princess Cruises ship first debuted in the Mediterranean in 2017 but has since explored a variety of global destinations. Most recently, following a summer season in Alaska, the vessel spent the 2024-25 winter months cruising through South America and the Caribbean.
After wrapping up its scheduled itineraries, the Majestic Princess embarked on a trans-Atlantic voyage to Spain on February 18, 2025. Departing from Fort Lauderdale, the 14-night journey to Barcelona included stops in Portugal, as well as Spanish ports such as Funchal, Cádiz, and Málaga.
Upon arrival, the ship completed a weeklong Western Mediterranean cruise before undergoing routine maintenance in drydock in mid-March.
Now set for a series of itineraries ranging from seven to 33 nights, the Majestic Princess will sail to destinations across the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.
One of the highlights of the season is Princess Cruises’ “Grand Mediterranean” itinerary, a ten-night voyage visiting Italy, Greece, Turkey, and Spain. Notable ports of call include Naples, Palermo, Chania, Piraeus, Kusadasi, and Palma de Mallorca.
The ship will also offer sailings focused on the Eastern Mediterranean, such as a ten-night itinerary through the Adriatic Sea. Departing from Trieste and ending in Piraeus, this journey includes stops in Croatia, Greece, Italy, and Turkey, with ports like Dubrovnik, Santorini, and Istanbul.
In July, the 3,600-passenger vessel will head to Northern Europe and Iceland before crossing back to North America for a fall foliage season in Canada and New England.
For its repositioning voyage, the Majestic Princess will operate a 15-night trans-Atlantic cruise from Southampton to Boston. Along the way, the ship will visit three destinations in Iceland, including Reykjavik and Isafjord, before reaching Canada for stops in Charlottetown, Sydney, and Halifax.
