IMarEST Appoints New Chief Executive
The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology (IMarEST) has officially announced Chris Goldsworthy as the new chief executive officer. Goldsworthy steps into the role previously held by Gwynne Lewis, who is stepping down after serving since 2020.
Before joining IMarEST, Goldsworthy was the technical director at Tamar Ship Management in Hong Kong.
Goldsworthy expressed his enthusiasm about the appointment, stating, “It’s an honour to take on this role for the institute that I have been a passionate member of since I started my career. The institute is unique in bringing together engineers, scientists and technologists in the sector and I am looking forward to working with our members to solve some of the biggest challenges we have ever faced, to shape a more sustainable future for the marine sector.”
