In celebration of International Tea Day, Holland America Line is enhancing its afternoon tea service with the introduction of the new Royal Dutch Tea experience, available in the Dining Room at no additional cost.

The Royal Dutch Tea will take the place of the current afternoon tea service, offering a variety of sweet and savory treats inspired by the company’s Dutch heritage. This new tea experience will feature traditional bites and a selection of teas.

“Whether a tea connoisseur or a novice, guests will enjoy the upgraded offering, which gives a nod to our Dutch legacy of more than 150 years of sailing,” said Michael Stendebach, vice president of the food, beverage, and rooms division for Holland America Line.

“Our guests are avid enthusiasts of the afternoon tea tradition, and we are excited to combine this longstanding service on sea days with our rich Dutch heritage.”

New Dutch sweets include:

- Maple Stroopwafel with Napoleon cream and fresh berries

- Boterkoek (Dutch Butter Cake) with almond slice

- Gevulde Koeken (Dutch Cookie) with marzipan and short sugar pastry

- Appletaart (Mini Dutch Apple Tartlets) with a cookie base, cinnamon, and raisins

New Dutch sandwiches include:

- Bay Shrimp on Brioche with Dutch cocktail sauce

- Egg Salad and Cress on white bread with mayonnaise and mustard
