French ocean carrier CMA CGM has introduced updated rates and surcharges for shipments headed to the United States.
Starting February 1, CMA CGM will impose a peak season surcharge on cargo from the Indian Subcontinent, Middle East Gulf, Red Sea, and Egypt to the US East Coast and US Gulf. This surcharge will be set at $1,000 per container.
In addition, the company will implement a rate restoration initiative effective January 17. This adjustment applies to shipments from Guyana and Suriname to the United States, with rates increasing by $350 per TEU and $700 per FEU.
The Marseille-based shipping giant continues to adjust its pricing to align with market conditions and seasonal demands.
