Celebrity Cruises has kicked off its first-ever homeporting season at Port Canaveral with the arrival of the Celebrity Equinox.

The Equinox is now the 15th ship to call Port Canaveral home, according to port officials. After completing a trans-Atlantic voyage from Europe, the ship arrived on December 3, 2024, marking its first visit to the port.

Following a brief three-night cruise to the Bahamas, the Equinox will begin offering a schedule of seven-night Caribbean cruises starting this weekend. Departing every Saturday, these sailings will visit destinations in the Eastern and Western Caribbean through late April 2025. Ports of call include St. Maarten, Puerto Rico, Belize City, Key West, Puerto Plata, Costa Maya, and more.

From March 2025, the Celebrity Equinox will also include Royal Caribbean’s private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay, on select itineraries.

Looking ahead, Celebrity Cruises plans to introduce the larger Celebrity Apex to Port Canaveral for the 2025-26 season. Beginning in November 2025, the Apex will offer seven-night Caribbean sailings, visiting destinations such as Key West, San Juan, Bimini, and Royal Caribbean’s private resort in Labadee, Haiti. This deployment will run through late April 2026, with the Apex already confirmed to return for another season in 2026-27.

Port Canaveral will also welcome Princess Cruises for the first time during the 2024-25 season. The Caribbean Princess will operate six- to eight-night cruises to the Southern and Eastern Caribbean, with its inaugural sailing from the port in late November 2024. For the 2025-26 season, Princess Cruises will expand its offerings with the arrival of the Sky Princess.
