Carnival Cruise Line’s Legend has launched its summer program from Barcelona, Spain, following an extensive refurbishment at Chantier Naval de Marseille in France.

The ship now boasts several new features, updated spaces, and enhancements to public areas. Significant additions include the Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, which showcases the army boots of Deshauna Barber, the godmother of Carnival Horizon and a captain in the United States Army Reserve.

Newly introduced on the Carnival Legend are Chef’s Table, Dreams Studio, and a dedicated area for Carnival Adventures. The ship’s steakhouse has been updated and renamed Fahrenheit 555, while the casino has been expanded, and the spa has been rebranded as the Cloud 9 Spa and Fitness Center.

The retail shops on board have also been revamped, and a new mini golf course has been added to the top deck. For younger guests, the Circle C and Camp Ocean youth program areas have received updates as well.

Throughout its 2024 European summer season, the Carnival Legend will offer a series of 16 sailings.

Besides Barcelona, departure ports include Dover (London), UK, and Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy, with stops in various destinations across Spain, Portugal, the UK, Iceland, Italy, and Greece. In October, the ship will set off on a transatlantic Carnival Journeys cruise to its new homeport in Tampa, Florida.
