The cargo ship Asia Glory 6, with a deadweight tonnage (DWT) of 7,748, ran aground in Bima Bay near Benteng Asakota, located in Indonesia's West Nusa Tenggara province, on 21 September. The grounding occurred as the ship attempted to steer clear of a fishing vessel. All 20 crew members on board were confirmed to be safe.

On the night of 21 September, the Asia Glory 6 was en route to Bima Port. As it entered the bay, the fishing boat KM Sabuk Nusantara 49 came dangerously close, prompting the cargo ship to turn sharply to starboard to avoid a collision. This maneuver caused the vessel to run aground. Thankfully, no crew members were injured, and no pollution has been detected.

A response team was swiftly sent to assess the situation. Upon inspection, only minor damage to the ship’s ballast tank was identified. Plans are in place to refloat the vessel during the next high tide so it can resume its journey to Bima Port.
