Arkas Line is poised to expand its shipping operations to India, with the India Med Service (IMS) set to launch on February 10. This strategic move is part of the company’s commitment to enhancing its range of services.

The IMS will initially operate with four vessels, each capable of carrying between 2,500 and 2,800 TEUs, on a weekly schedule. By June, an additional ship will join the service to further strengthen its capabilities.

The new route will link key ports, including Ambarli, Evyap, Aliaga, Mersin, Aqaba, Jeddah, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, and Alexandria. Arkas Line aims to leverage the strong rail networks at ports like Mundra and Nhava Sheva to expand its reach into India’s inland areas.

To facilitate the smooth introduction of IMS, Arkas Line is making adjustments to its current services. This includes optimizing routes such as the Great Pendulum Service (GPS), East Med Morocco Service (EMS), and Spain-East Med (SEM) to ensure comprehensive coverage across the Mediterranean.
