Gulf Energy Maritime Returns to South Korea for New MR Tankers

Gulf Energy Maritime, a Dubai-based operator specializing in commercial product and chemical tankers, has placed an order for additional MR vessels at HD Hyundai Mipo Dockyard in South Korea.

These 50,000 dwt vessels, set for delivery in 2026 at an undisclosed price, will be named Gem Daniela and Gem Delilah.

Established in 2004, Gulf Energy Maritime is a joint venture involving Dubai’s Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), Abu Dhabi’s International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC), the Oman Oil Company (OOC), and Thales of France.

The company currently operates seven ships and has six MR newbuilds scheduled for delivery from Hyundai Mipo within the next two years.
