X-Press Feeders Signs with Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding

X-Press Feeders has signed a letter of intent for four conventionally fueled 10,000 TEU ships with Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS), as reported by MB Shipbrokers, previously known as Maersk Broker. 

This agreement secures the final container slots for 2027 at SWS, with each ship priced at $115 million.

MB Shipbrokers anticipates a surge in activity in the coming weeks as buyers compete to secure the remaining newbuilding slots for 2027 in Asia.

Additionally, Mediterranean Shipping Co (MSC) is in talks with Asian shipyards about acquiring more 15,000 TEU vessels, according to the Danish broking firm.
