Fujian Lixin to Build 12 Bulk Carriers for Green Era Shipping

Istanbul-based Green Era Shipping has entered into an agreement with Chinese shipbuilder Fujian Lixin Ship Engineering to construct 12 bulk carriers.

The deal, finalized during the 2024 China Maritime Equipment Expo, includes six bulkers with a capacity of 4,300 dwt and another six at 5,300 dwt. Financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.

Founded in 1981, Fujian Lixin Ship Engineering specializes in steel ship construction and repair, boasting a strong track record in the industry.

Data shows that Fujian shipyards exported 159 vessels by October 31, representing a 34.7% increase compared to 2023. The total export value reached approximately $1.47 billion, a significant 77.3% jump from the previous year.
